The Great Britain Circus

We went to the circus! That’s the first ever circus experience for the kids and for Sa. The kids sure enjoy the show, particularly when it comes with toys (swords with lights) and junk food.

HY Graduates!

Time flies as HY has graduated from Kindergarten school! It is a fantastic event that I am pretty sure primary, secondary and even college graduates won’t be able to match. There are plenty of performances too. It commences with a group singing, swearing from the graduates, follow by a ground band, two dancing performances (one from class and another from Full day students), the actual graduation and graduates singing (three songs). I don’t remember doing anything at all for my kindergarten graduates, except maybe wearing the hat.

Placement in primary school Part II

After months of applications, appealing, running around and making phone calls everywhere, I finally able to place HY to the same primary school as I do. It’s exactly 6.5km (less traffic) from house and is second closest school, following Yat Chee of 5.5km (but heavy traffic). For comparison, HY’s current kindergarten is 9.6km away from home.

New Camera- Canon G7X Mark 2

I bought this camera as own birthday present as well as for the Kun Ming trip as the previous Olympus has retired after 6½ years of hard work. Following are some function worth noticing.

1. Check out the HDR function- (Before and After) particularly impressive when there are little lighting.

2. Selfie function- may be little bit closer as compare to using a selfie stick, but still suitable for certain angle.

3. Remote function- guess who is taking this photo? Myself using handphone.

4. The background defocus effect.

5. Panning effect? I am not professional enough to capture one yet.

There are a lot more function, however, we are just too much of a newbie to try during this trip.

(2) The bakery- Bull-horn bread, chocolate bread and the flower cookie.

(3) Mei Cai Biscuit. Sacha’s favourite

(4) Chili spicy Prawn. Taste good despite really spicy.

(5) The craft beer & steak. Beautiful ambience too.

(6) Special Rice and Noodles at Pasar. Very unique indeed.

(7) Little-Biscuit that taste like Guo-Tie.

(8) Jiao Zi & soya milk at Pasar

(9) The lamb steamboat.

(10) Cross the bridge noodles. The food that represent Kun Ming. Everyone must try. Must .

(11) The junk food and beer before bed time. Sound simple and that you can have it anytime and anywhere but not the case for us. It’s a rare experience for us. Particularly love the Har-Er-Bin Beer.

This year’s Halloween Costume.

First up we have Sponge Bob and Doctor. Knock knock trick or treat.

Round two and we have Pikachu and Ash.

Next we have the police and SWAT.

Finally we have the PJ Mask.

There were ghosts hidden somewhere in some of the photos. Can you spot them?

Its Done

After two months of renovation, moving out and in, the renovation is now officially complete. Total renovation days of 57 and cost in excess of forty grand. Improvisations that exceed expectations are ground floor, namely living room and entrance-shoe racking section. Reformations that meet expectations are 1st floor study area and new paint in the house. Revamp works that slightly disappoint are Master Bed room and new wardrobe area. Overall, it’s a major upgrade to the house in terms of usable area and appearances. There will be additional work required, but mostly in terms of carpenter work that could happen end of the year or next.

Nepal & Weight Management Plan

Looks like to plan to Nepal this year has failed due to numerous excuses that I made up for myself. On the bright side, my weight management plan for the Nepal hike appears to be working fine (although its via unfavorable process – refer to previous blog).
