Dancing

I have little knowledge on whether girls naturally love dancing, but HX definitely is one of them. I am surprised at the moves she pick up whilst watching youtube. Look, she is trying to duplicate the moves made by the previous girl who is playing this dance machine.

School Sports Day 2016

HY is so excited for this School Sports Day even days before the actual event. He absolutely enjoy the actual event and also non-stop talk (and brag) about it after the event. He is fortunate that he won a Gold Medal on that day. I couldn't imagine how disappointed he will be if he didn't win. In the meantime, his mummy won first and his dad (ie myself) won second in parents competition. Everybody is a winner and everybody is happy.

HY 4th Birthday

Time flies. HY is 4 years old. We brought him to the Farm in the City. HY is ok with rabbit and turtle but not other farm animals. HX seems to be having more fun and little bit more aggressive to all other animals including birds and chicks.

Mines

There are many surviving modes one must master to be a parent. One of the many untold secret is to know how to avoid mines field, even in the dark. The mines are random and totally unpredictable, range from any size and any materials.

Kindergarden School Hunt

Alas... Its time to search for kindergarden school for Hong Yi. Names like Beaconhouse, Fungates, Q-Dees, Montessori; names that I have never heard of; are now options that need to be consider- all equipped with pros and cons I must say. I have couple of weeks to do some research before detail analysis.

What is the most important factor? Location? Convenience? Education material/method? Environment? Answer: All of the above. (Gee.. this is a difficult business to please your customers..)

100 Days Old

Hong Xin is a hundred days old. Wow. That’s fast. She sure is enjoying all the attention at her during her 100 days old lunch gathering.

Oh WOW! You weighted 3.58kg, which is a good half a kg more than expected, even by the doctor the morning before you arrive. You are fed well.

Hong Yi turning two

Time flies. Hong Yi is now two years old. A year ago, he could barely walk on his first birthday and now he talks nonstop (although we may not understand what he is trying to say half the time). I have the feeling he knows that it is his birthday and he is really enjoying the few day’s activities we plan for him.

These are some of HY's favorite toys to date:

1, Reddish Twins - still his favorite soft toys

3, Bowling - between 18 - 21 months old

4, Fishing - about 20 months old

All seems to make perfect sense, except maybe the bus. I wonder how long would it last.

Birthday Party

Baby Hong Yi first year old party is held over the weekend. Thank you everyone for their participation and gifts. I am sure he has a good time. For those who miss out, his real birth date is on the 15th. Never too late for another presents :)

6 months

Baby is 6 months old today. Compliments to my wife Sacha who is able to breast feed baby for six months consecutively, exceeding everyone’s expectations. I guess one should never underestimate the will of a mother.

100 days

My baby will be 100 days old in two days time. Although I did not manage to hold a 100 days party for him, I will ensure a 1 year party to be a success. These hundred days consist of sensational and tension moments and expect many more to come. With less than 100 days old, he has already attended three wedding dinners, and surprise many with his mature look. Many claims he looks like me although I don’t see much remembrance. Do people just say for the sake of saying or they can really tell I wonder.

Doctor

This is the doctor who deliver baby Hong-Yi, therefore the first person Hong-Yi ever seen in his life (although I do see his hair before the doctor does).

Welcome baby

The baby is too anxious to meet us and decided to greet us 13 days in advance. August 15th is the date and we are not quite prepared but welcome him with great happiness. I am very amazed with (1) the delivery process, which is much faster than I anticipated (2) the baby can open his eyes in ten minutes after born and (3) his eyes expression that is so similar to mine and I thought mine is rather unique.

D-day minus 18

D day as in Daddy day count down. 18 days, assuming the expected day being accurate. The doctor said that based on his experience, 30% is early, 65% is late and only 5% being punctual, however, I received way too many comments that it is more likely to be early than late. Nonetheless, we are always happy to received great news in advance, aren’t we.

Baby Room

Haven’t done much in the baby room although the expected date is merely 80 plus days. Still need lighting, cupboard, drawers etc. We kind of like the bed though. I see someone is already enjoying the bed happily.

Winner
