China Wine

Wines from China have improved a great deal. The winemakers are now Chinese and some of the wines are really of high standard. The most significant variety is "Marselan", which is a French grape blend of Cabinet Sauvignon and Garnacha. China Xinjiang / Ningxia region can produce the best Marselan around the world.

There are also tea fermented wines that are very different.

Natural Wine Tasting 2021

Alright. Its time for Wine Tasting again. Natural Wine that is.

Most wines are acceptable, however, none are outstanding. Minotaureo 2017 is the best in this tasting whilst Varetuo, Pvrvlio blanc and Rubaiyat are worth mentioning.

Oregon Wine Nov 19

Another session of Oregon Pinot Noir. It didn’t impress me as much this round, however. Need more surprises.

Big and Bold

Who is the biggest and boldest wine to pair with heavy flavoured steak?

Today our entries include Barolo, Brunello and Garnacha from Spain. Everyone has their own preference in terms of which wines are the best, however, the Garnacha from Spain is definitely the King of Big & Bold, follow by the Barolo.

Wine Tasting Sept 19

Good wines to pair with the spicy Si-Chuan cousin. The Champagne Lombard Grand Cru is still excellent despite vintage 2004. The natural wine Pinot Noir is good and the Monastrell is also very different. Good to try different pairing.

Wine Tasting 31st July

We featured some of the best wines available from Spain in recent tasting session. Terreus is near perfect (although it might be young and need some time to age), Alto Moncayo (great as usual), Marques De Vargas Private Seleccion, Natural Wines, Mauro, and many more. If only wines sales have high correlation to great wines featured.

Spanish Wines

Similar to Tapas, there are way too many great Spanish Wines and way to many to describe in detail. So as lazy as I am, I will just put photos of some of the best I had during the tour (exclude exhibition).

Decanting

This wine is pretty good after you decant for about 3-4 hours. I mean, REALLY? 3-4 hours? Who really has 3-4 hours to spare for drinking one wine? The guy who opened this bottle of wine said he has about 200 bottles left. That means time required to decant is about 800 hours. That is equivalent to 33 days! Good luck mate!

Natural Wines

Natural Wines never fail to impress the wine lovers, and never fail to shock (in a negative way) to not so regular.

Italian Wines

Are Italian wines over priced? I can't argue that some are really good, but there are also many at really high prices but taste like.. well should I say I wouldn't argue if the price is less than half. What do you think?

For RM 1000+... I mean... Really?
