Medals

These are my running medals in recent years. I just completed 2017 Standard Chartered 10km Run and my results are better than last year and as good as 2014. My body hasn’t aged much (or that's at least what I am trying to deceive myself into).

Shoemaker

I am the shoemaker waiting for his elves. I have to dream more. Miracle will happen. Oh yes it will, for if it does not, I will be doomed. Elves, elves, where are you?

Sponge Bob Run 2017

HY first ever run. 3km is no joke for a 5 1/2 years old. I think he did a very good job here.

Management Retreat

Retreat, by definition, means a ‘withdrawal’ from whatever we are doing now. A Management Retreat, however, is the platform for senior leaders to come together for strategy development and action planning. Having said that, why do we name it management retreat when the so call retreat is more stressful than daily activities? Let’s rename it to Management Charge! Full Charge! CHONG AH !!!

Firecrackers

One of the highlight of this Chinese New Year is playing Firecrackers. It’s the first time I’ve played in years and this round HongYi and HongXin are joining the fun. We have fun with the following types of firecrackers.

Type 1: The magical wand type. Now comes with original and with color. RM 3 per pack. Simple but kids always love it as you can hold it.

Type 2: The spinning on the floor type. RM 4 per pack. The good thing about this is that its cheap.
Type 3: The loud and go up to the sky and pop! Relatively cheap too but the noisy can be both exciting and irritating.
Type 4: The beautiful wonder on the floor. RM 5 each. Not cheap but really beautiful.
Type 5: Like a real firework. Its kinda noisy and fly to the sky for the big beautiful firework. RM 10 but only 1 shot.
Type 6: The hold in the hand and shoot to the air type. RM 6 each for 6 shot. Not noisy and the firework is smaller.

Orion

Hundred steps after meal and you will be strong and healthy.

We did just that over the last weekend. As we look up the sky, we saw no others but Orion Constellation. It is the very first time HY saw Orion in the sky and he is so excited after seeing it so many times in the book and in his toy torchlight. He was so excited that he kept shouting Orion Belt and Rigel (the foot of the hunter).

Hang on, there is a brighter star below Rigel that caught our eyes. Who is that? Yes! That is Sirius and it happened to be very nearby.

Wait wait wait. There is another much brighter star on the other side of the sky. Its so bright that it looks like a spot light shinning at us. What do you think it is? Yupe.. its not a star and it is definitely not a plane.
