The PJ Marathon 2022. Longest Run in a race - 30km. It turns out to be a nightmare. There is heavy rain about 80-90% of the journey. The road is flooding and we have to run through water pond in many occasion. There route is difficult with lots of up and down hill. Last but not least, it is my first ever 30km run therefore the fatigue is significant.
My second real race- half marathon and its not a bad one at all. I finish at the time of 2hour 10min (and if I remove the additional 450m that organisor mistakely put int, I would have finish at around 2 hour 8 min). The average pace is 6'04, slightly above my target of 6'00. The reason of not able to hit target is due to 'cramp' feeling from 16km onwards and slow me down for 4 km. Otherwise, I am ahead up to 16km mark.
The route is difficult in my opinion but overall the experience is great.
After having numerous Nike shoes, Brooks shoes, Saucony and Under Armour, next our family shall try Puma shoes!

There are plenty of reason not truly believing in VO2Max by Garmin. The stats appear to be so high that its purpose has shift from being accurate to pleasing the consumer.
Figures from Runalyze appears to be a lot more accurate, or at least in my opinion. Figure showed that I was in much better shape last year around Sept-Nov and start to decline (probably due to left tight IT Band injury) and a sharp decline in Jun - August this year amid Covid and influenza. Figures rebound slightly thereafter and hopefully I can regain or even exceed previous peak.
Its been a while since I last run in KL City, which is the Standard Chartered Run 2019. This feel very familiar except there are less runner, more cyclist and much easier route. There is no pressure since it is not a timed competition. There are some photo session during the run and met some friends, which makes it quite fun. Perhaps I should drag family over for the next run.
Are we ready for Garmin Half Marathon? Not yet I guess.
This is the second Addidas Run for me. This round is a trek training- Fartlek, which include 3 minutes hard and 2 minutes easy x 5 lap. It appears to be rather hard for me. I need to work harder as I have yet to fully recover from Jun/July sickness. I still haven't got AR Running Shirt. Not sure when I will get one.
