There are plenty of reason not truly believing in VO2Max by Garmin. The stats appear to be so high that its purpose has shift from being accurate to pleasing the consumer.
Figures from Runalyze appears to be a lot more accurate, or at least in my opinion. Figure showed that I was in much better shape last year around Sept-Nov and start to decline (probably due to left tight IT Band injury) and a sharp decline in Jun - August this year amid Covid and influenza. Figures rebound slightly thereafter and hopefully I can regain or even exceed previous peak.
