Traffic
Happy Chinese New Year! We welcome the year of the Ox. The traffic is as smooth as ever in KL amid Chinese New Year. This is the only time in the year you can enjoy such prevelige. I do wonder, however, if it is me or are there more idiotic drivers during this period of time? Maybe these low-b driver only surface when the elites are not around.

Winner of G900 vs E71
The outcome of the competition between E71 and G900 is released.
Each phone received 4 votes from participants but G900 turn out to be the winner amid the following reasons:
1. It is cheaper. RM 1,000 versus RM 1,280.
2. It is smaller in size but has larger screen.
3. It has touch screen.
These factors overcome its weakness of lack of GPS. One other reason that is not stated above is: Out of the four voters above, one of them is myself :) I guess that has some weight in the decision process.

Feng Sui
Attended Joey Yap’s Feng Shui and Astrology for 2009 yesterday. It has been entertaining as expected. In summary, the money sector for 2009 is in the South East corner, nobleman sector is in North West, career sector is in South West and last but not least Peach Blossom sector is in the South. North is the worst sector therefore avoid if possible.
It’s going to be a great year for many, particularly those born in the year/month/days/hours of Monkey, Ox and dog. Those born in the year/month/days/hours of goat and rabbit (such as myself) are less fortunate however :(
It is said that although rabbit has no lucky star in year 2009, it can borrow the intelligent star from rooster. Any rooster want to lend me your intelligent star?

G900 vs E71
Its about time to change my handphone as I have been using it for more than two and the half years. The buttons are worn out, battery is weakening and applications / softwares are out-dated.
I have such intention some three to four months ago and have considered various phones. The following two Wi-Fi phones are the finalist - Sony Ericsson G900 and Nokia E71.
Some of my friends are strongly recommending E71 whilst others are fans of G900. Current voting results are 3 versus 2.

Table Tennis
I have fulfilled one of last year’s resolutions, which is to exercise more than a hundred times in the year. One of the key reasons for success is that I pick up basketball and badminton during the year, both sports that I have not participate for years. This year I hope to pick up table tennis, another sports that I have not play for over three years.
I was tempted to buy a table tennis table so I can relive the experience of taking brother Loong to school. If my memory serves me well, the first class was conducted some eleven years ago and I bet he will never forget the experience. :)
Any idea where I can buy a table tennis table?
Lesson 101 for brother Loong coming up soon!!

Stealing Heart
I read a book on wines last year that mention / recommend hundreds of wines. The author put a strict warning to the following wineries and producers, citing it will absolutely steal your heart!
Region: Cote De Nuts (within the Burgundy region)
Producers: Confuron-Cotetidot, Sylvain Cathiard, Denis Mortet, Henri Gouges, Georges Roumier, Armand Rousseau, Gevrey Chambertin, Domaine Trapet Pere & Fils, Domaine Hormand Geoffroy, Bernard Dougut and Dominique Lawret.
I have been searching for the above wines in Malaysia in the past few months without any success. For those who happens to see any of them, probably higher chance for those visiting France soon (*hint hint*), please keep an eye for me. :)

Festival Music
Its only the first week of the year and we can start hearing Chinese New Year song everywhere despite CNY still three weeks away. Some friends enjoy listening to festival songs as it brings up the festival mood. Others, like myself, were kind of uninterested after listening to the same harmony for over thirty years. However, correct me if I am wrong but most people will never be bored of Christmas songs. I wonder why. May be they are just not that corny?
CNY songs are everywhere; even the frogs are singing it. Are they corny?

Count Down
We celebrated New Year count down at Solaris Mont Kiara, the home of Cold Storage and the area where I used to work for over a year. It has developed much since our offices moved out some six months ago, however, the crowd is still thin on New Year Eve. I bet the organizer make a loss in the count down event.
I was constantly amazed about non-Christian Chinese celebrating Christmas count down. I mean why do we not celebrating Chinese New Year count down, Moon cake festival count down or Depavali count down? Why do we choose Christmas count down just because the Christian white men do so? Maybe we should organize a Moon Cake Festival count down just for a change :)

Happy New Year
Happy New Year!! Lets wish the year 2009 is filled with good luck and aura, and pray that all the 2008 unexplainable phenomenon will not recurred.
Examples of Unexplainable Phenomenon are:
1. My pc Internet is working for all sites except gmail.com but gmail is working on everybody else pc. Furthermore I have important emails in gmail account that requires immediate attention.
2. I try to call a government department's Lan line for numerous times without answer. When I pass the number to a friend to dial, they answer immediately. When I try again with my own phone (same tel no), nobody answer. When I ask the friend to try again, someone responded immediately again. Spooky...
